patmoore hails from Connecticut, but this shot was taken while on a trip to Heidelberg, Germany, back in 2010. Today's DPNow POTD pick was made by Horacio Di Nunzio all the way from Argentina. Horacio is also a familiar photographer to followers of the DPNow POTD feature over the years. Here, Horacio explains why he selected this image for us:
"I like very much this picture.
It clearly reflects the seriousness and responsibility of an anonymous man that, in the center of so many distracting signs, colors, objects, rain, etc, is very well concentrated in its primary duty: to take care of people inside the bus." Horacio does point out that he doubts that the result and his own interpretation of its meaning and impact was high on Pat's mind when he took the picture but of course that does not detract from the image at all. He adds: "Additionally, in spite of the small size and brightness of his face, it occupies the center of the scene and the eye is drawn to this part of the image."
