patmoore, from Connecticut, has enjoyed some notable success with this picture. "Had a nice surprise when I learned that this shot had been selected Kodak Picture of the Day on August 7th, 2011. I'm told it was on display at Times Square for 24 hours." Kodak may be all but gone apart from its ink-jet printer business, but Pat's picture continues its success with our choice of POTD here on DPNow. The composition is all about those concentric bicycle wheels - it's well seen and captured. It's an unusual and very striking shot and the use of a lightening vignette to strengthen the central area of the image works well. Pat is normally to be found in a ski supplies business as Director of online sales of ski and snowboard gear according to his forum profile, where he describes himself as an ageing snowboarder. I'll bet his grandchildren love this photo as well.
