Don't tell her, by Mike Parr

Mike Parr shows in today's selection for the DPNow.com Picture of the Day that timing can be very important. Here is a shot of Mike's wife and their dog about to be engulfed by a breaker on the beach in Cornwall, where they live. I'd really like to know if there was an 'after' shot... but this one simply stopped me in my tracks. The dog looks a little pensive, but it's too late to run! Mike explains:
"Being in Cornwall we have plenty of beaches and Holly our Jack Russell loves to run in the surf. Unfortunately my wife, Lisa, always forgets to keep her eye on the waves. The result is always the same...wet clothes!"
Mike adds: "This year I have tended to take more landscape/seascape photos than ever before, but this was just a grab shot of a family day out."
It may well be a family 'snap' but it has turned out to be more than just that.
