TrevWhite (real name Trevor White) is our star contributor from New Zealand. Trevor is best know for his fantastic New Zealand landscapes, but he's also an accomplished portrait photographer. Today we have one of his landscapes and it's a field of Canola, better known in the UK as a variety of oilseed rape. Normally photographs of fields of this crop are simply a blur or bright yellow, but Trevor has retained the detail of the plants and the yellow is comparatively muted. He's also found an interesting viewpoint, with the undulating course of the field nicely off-set against the rock-tipped hill in the background. The finishing touches include the blue-grey sky, darkening to the top and the carefully arranged framing. If you like work like this don't hesitate to see Trevor's other work in his gallery, as well as his original gallery under the member name of ddigit.
