Vote for November's Picture of the Month
Stan1968 is the brain behind today's DPNow Picture of the Day, and the first macro shot to make POTD.
Stan says: "I started with photography about 5 months ago with Canon Power Shot A610, step by step I try to learn to do my best, I ask better then I.
"I live in UK from 5 months as well , I am from Poland and I plan to stay in England much longer ."
Stan hadn't given his picture a name in his gallery, so I decided on 'Water Berries'. Stan has a number of other moisture-laden studies in his gallery too.
As is often the case, the simplicity of this picture lets the fascination of those four large globules on the twig, each one a lens projecting a slightly different aspect of the view beyond.
This is also another shot that shows you don't need sophisticated and expensive equipment to get very rewarding results.

I particularly like the way the third globule along is sharper and better defined than the others. It lends some focus for the eye to latch on to. Pictures like this should inspire anyone with a simple point and shoot digicam like the Canon PowerShot A610 to get shooting and to really discover what is possible with modern cameras.
