Andy Bright is a familiar and highly accomplished bird photographer to DPNow regulars and he runs a couple of his own web sites,
www.digiscoped.com and
www.birdforum.net, both of which are well worth a visit if you are interested in bird photography.
Andy used a Nikon D2X and an 850mm lens to get close to this trio of Little Stint waders, which are apparently only the size of sparrows. The focus is just right and the birds are beautifully sharp without sacrificing any subtlety in the tones, while the out of focus regions in front and behind emphasise the central subject.
