Catalus partnership with supermarket to sell memory

Issued by Catalus:

Buying your memory just got easier

Digital photographers will now be able to purchase their memory media at their local supermarket following a recent partnership between Tesco Stores Ltd (Tesco) and Catalus, the supplier of the M+ range of digital memory solutions.

From November, M+ digital memory media will be available in over 650 Tesco stores throughout the British Isles. The range includes CompactFlash, SmartMedia, Secure Digital, Multi Media Card, MemoryStick and xD-Picture Cards.

The deal with Tesco has realised in the region of £1 million retail sales over a period of 12 months for Catalus and its M+ brand of memory cards for digital cameras, MP3 players, mobile phones and handheld computers.

Catalus General Manager Jon Blows enthuses: "We are thrilled to be working in partnership with Tesco on such a scale. We are delighted that digital photographers will now be able to pick up digital memory products at their local supermarket, where traditionally they were only available from specialist stores. This will certainly make life easier in the run up to Christmas".

Catalus Marketing Manager, Dave Flack adds: "We have designed our packaging to make it really easy for the first time buyer to establish which memory card they need. The packets are colour-coded and state the number of images that can be stored on each card. We have also had literature printed to make choosing the appropriate card as simple as possible"
