Fotopic.net takes MMS messaging to another level
Fotopic.net is set to launch the first MMS online photo gallery in the UK with free storage for all customers. There is no need to register and the service is compatible with all networks providing your mobile phone has a camera and WAP facilities.
This is the first online MMS photo messaging gallery of its kind in the UK and can be used by any individual who wants to store their digital photographs with a reliable source. It is possible to send photographs from more than one camera enabled handset to your account and is the only online photograph service to store data for an unlimited amount of time.
Customers of fotopic.net receive 250MB of free storage and can submit five free pictures a day to the photo gallery. Non subscribed members can still send their images to the online gallery, however these are charged at 25p per picture.
Joel Rowbottom, Director of fotopic.net says, ‘this service has taken photo messaging technology to a new level. We are very proud to be able to offer a simple and free solution to avid mobile users, and believe it will be hugely popular.’
The service works by capturing a photo on your mobile phone, then sending it directly to fotopic.net number 07746387230. A few minutes later a confirmation message sent to your phone confirms the receipt, where it is stored in your online photo album. All the photos within your gallery can then be customised or manipulated along with a number of facilities on the site to suit your specific needs.
The move follows Fotopic’s fifth birthday, which has seen it grow into the largest online photo gallery in the UK, and has recently received its five millionth photograph.
This success is already improving with a record number of over thirty thousand photographs being sent to the site daily.
Nichole Rowbottom, Managing Director of fotopic.net says, ‘starting as a small site, we have used our expertise and knowledge in photography and computers to combine fun with technology and develop a service unlike any other.’
