Customers can personalise their mobile phones even further, thanks to a new service from BONUSPRINT. The UK’s best-known photofinisher has launched Photo-2-Phone, a service which allows digital camera users to send their favourite photographs to their mobile phone.

Rather than having an operator’s standard wallpaper, or a low-resolution photo from a camera phone as wallpaper, the service has been designed to allow photos to be downloaded to any mobile which has a colour screen and a WAP connection.

Photo-2-Phone can be accessed via BONUSPRINT’s website www.bonusprint.co.uk/p2p and each image costs £3.90 to download. Photos are sent to the website which then matches the size of the image to the size of the screen of the particular mobile phone. The photo is transmitted to the mobile phone number selected.

The Photo-2-Phone service was developed for BONUSPRINT by MobileChannel.Network (MCN) and operates in conjunction with BONUSPRINT’s existing digital print software.

“Cameraphones are becoming increasingly popular with consumers, and the new service allows you to carry your favourite digital images wherever you go,” said Anthony Ward. “Just like selecting your favourite tune as a ringtone, customers can now personalise their mobile’s screen with a prized photo.”
