lourensb has been featured on Picture of the Day before and the theme is again about people and how they are thinking. This pick was made by one of our forum moderators, Pol, who explains:
'She's so deep in thought and the sepia type toning also adds to the rather melancholy mood which is conveyed by the rather sad look on her face and in here eyes. This a very 'moody' sort of capture - as in capturing another person's mood. It strikes me as being a spontaneous non-posed image, too.'
The pose is indeed one lost in thought and there is a slight frown in her eyes - where most of the power in this composition can be found. The strong sepia toning seems to lend itself well to the subject too.
