ryme-intrinseca (Becky) is our mid-week pick on the Digital Photography Now Picture of the Day. Becky has done a great job in the post-processing of this image to the point that it resembles an old oil painting. The subject is rather weird but fascinating all at the same time. The form of the doll is almost like that of a real human baby. But the clearly artificial head plays tricks on one's perception of the image. Personally, I hate dolls like this full stop, but I like this picture very much - partly because of the skilful processing but also because the image scares me at the same time! It's certainly very striking.
