Amacom Technologies Launches 300GB ez2 Drive With Flipback For Disaster Recovery
Amacom Technologies, innovators of portable digital storage, has added a 300GB external hard drive to its ez2 range. The new device also comes with Amacom’s unique disaster recovery software FlipBack to enable users to make a mirror image of their desk top in the event of theft or internal hard drive failure.

The unique software uses DataSync and HotSync technology to transfer quickly and efficiently the hard drive’s data to the ez2 drive. Each subsequent back up takes a few minutes, backing up only those files that have been changed or added.
Swapping the internal disk drive of a standard desktop to a more powerful hard drive might well prove to be a difficult and time consuming procedure. Equally, the internal drive capacities of notebooks are often limited by space and weight parameters.
