Look out for the Adobe seal of approval when buying a digital camera

If you're planning on buying a new digital camera or digital imaging software, look out for a retailer with the 'Adobe Digital Imaging Specialist' sticker in the window for expert advise and knowledge.

Adobe has set up a scheme for independent camera retailers to help them learn more about digital imaging software. On completion of the course, retailers are awarded with 'Adobe Digital Imaging Specialist' status allowing them to have the knowledge to help the public understand why they might need additional digital camera software, like Adobe's Photoshop Album.

John Bedford, Consumer Marketing Manager, Adobe Systems commented:" There is so much more people can do with their digital photos than just email them to their friends, but unfortunately most people don't know this. For example our software, Adobe Photoshop Album, lets people organise their images but also lets them create slideshows to music or calendars and greetings cards. We're encouraging retailers to sign up for this scheme so they can pass on the information to consumers to help them get the most enjoyment out of their digital cameras."
