It's not even officially launched, but you could be one of the first owners of the new Olympus premium compact camera

The mock-up of Olympus' exciting new camera that you could win this month!

At the big Photokina trade show in Germany back in September, Olympus revealed a mock-up of a new top of the range compact camera. And you could be one of the first owners of the new camera by entering this month's DPNow prize draw competition. Instructions on what you need to do to be in with a chance to win are further down the page.

This is what you could win by the end of December

Technical details of the new Olympus compact were and remain - scant. But we do know that it will be the first Olympus compact digital camera to be awarded the prestigious 'Zuiko' branding for its lens, reflecting Olympus' grand ambitions for the camera when it comes to optical quality. The camera will also work with the optional VF-2 1.4 million dot high resolution electronic viewfinder originally developed for the Pen series of hybrid or compact system cameras. There is a dedicated video recording red button, so expect HD video to be featured. And there is a built-in pop-up flash unit, too.
