University of Westminster's London Gallery West The Dropping Frames
exhibition
Talented young students present their final projects at The Dropping Frames
exhibition at the University of Westminster's London Gallery West from the 6th - 9th
June 2007.
Giant cameras, animated puppet film noirs and groundbreaking photography. This is what the Contemporary
Media Practice students are bringing to life at The Dropping Frames exhibition which will be showcasing
some of London's hottest new artists, filmmakers and photographers.
Students from one of London's most innovative universities will be presenting their final projects at the
Dropping Frames exhibition at London Gallery West, a gallery that has previously seen exhibitions from
Scarlet Page, daughter of guitar legend Jimmy Page, and also Marks Clews who built a full scale model
aeroplane and tried to fly it himself.
Peter Dukes, course leader for CMP (Contemporary Media Practice), comments on the topicality of the work
produced by the third year students: "The students work within and across these disciplines using industry
and exploratory methods, with the work strongly informed by current debates."
With over 50 students contributing to more than 30 projects for the exhibition that involves combining a
variety of disciplines such as film, photography, documentary video, and new media, the show guarantees
to have something to whet everyone's artistic whistle.
