Dazzle launches Hi-Speed USB 2.0 readers

Dazzle has launched a line-up of new Hi-Speed USB 2.0 digital media readers, which read and write significantly faster than similar standard USB devices.
The new Dazzle Hi-Speed 8-in-1 digital media reader delivers maximum Hi- Speed USB 2.0 performance, with up to five times faster read speed and three times faster write speed than standard USB readers. The Dazzle 8-in-1 can read the most popular types of digital media from any digital device. The dual-slot design accepts CompactFlash™ Type I and II, IBM Microdrive™, SmartMedia™, SD Card™, MultiMediaCard™, Sony Memory Stick™ and Sony Memory Stick Magic Gate™. The two slots work concurrently, allowing direct transfer between two digital media cards. Hi-Speed readers are becoming more and more important as digital media capacity increases to be able to handle larger Megapixel digital pictures, MP3 and other files stored on media cards. Larger file sizes mean dramatically longer download times unless the user has a Hi-Speed reader.

Dazzle Hi-Speed Digital Media Readers support Mac OS 9.x or higher and Windows 98 SE, 2000, Me, XP. In addition, Dazzle Digital Media Readers are backwards compatible with USB 1.1 so will work with all older USB ports. All Dazzle Digital Media Readers come with Dazzle OnDVD software, offering users an easy way to create photo slideshows that can be burned onto a CD for playback on a home DVD player. Dazzle OnDVD also allows users to create an archive of their original, high resolution digital photos on a CD-R that can be stored indefinitely and read back from a PC’s CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive. Dazzle Hi-Speed Digital Media Readers can be used as removable disk drives, with USB true plug-and-play capability. They are mass storage compliant and require no additional software drivers to be installed.
