London, (September 2004) – With new 16x write speed and latest double layer technology, the LaCie DVD±RW Double Layer Design by FA Porsche allows people to burn single layer DVDs in five minutes or double layer DVDs in 25 minutes*. This all-in-one burner combines all popular CD and DVD formats in a stylish case created by Porsche Design GmbH, available beginning September 2004 in either FireWire or USB interfaces with prices excluding VAT starting at just £76.

Fastest DVD Burning
For faster performance at home or away, the LaCie DVD±RW Double Layer Design by FA Porsche supports burning in both DVD+R and DVD-R formats to a 4.7GB single layer disc in about five minutes, and double layer burning in 25 minutes—less than half the time of other double layer drives. An easy-to-use interface allows people to create DVD movies complete with menus, thumbnails, and backgrounds. The lightweight design makes it ideal for use at home or other workstations.
Customized DVDs
The LaCie DVD±RW Double Layer Design by FA Porsche comes complete with comprehensive Mac or PC software suites for creating professional-quality DVDs, and completed projects can be viewed on standard DVD players. USB drives ship with Easy Media Creator 7 (Windows XP/2000), Easy CD & DVD Creator 6.2, and the DVDMAX 2.0 player. FireWire drives ship with Roxio Toast 6.0 Lite (Mac OS X), Easy Media Creator 7 (Windows XP/2000) and Easy CD Creator Basic 6.2.
Availability
Shipping begins September 2004 at the suggested retail prices excluding VAT below. Drives come complete with all necessary cables. Double layer DVD media is available in 5-packs through LaCie for £40.
