Fujifilm launches major 2002 cameras

Announced today are three new digital cameras from Fujifilm. Illustrated above is Fujifilm’s successor to the FinePix S1 Pro - the S2 Pro. Its third generation SuperCCD imaging chip has a native 6.12 megapixels, producing up to 12 megapixel image files. As before, the S2 Pro is based on a Nikon film SLR, this time the N80. Pictured below are Fujifilm’s two new consumer compact digicams, the FinePix S602 Zoom and the S601 Zoom, replacements for the FinePix 6800 and 6900, respectively. Both feature a third generation SuperCCD chip and a maximum image size of 6.03 megapixels can be output. The slimline upright style S601 has a 3x optical zoom, while the S602 has a 6x optical zoom and an SLR-style 180,000 pixel colour electronic viewfinder.
