The 6x zoom has an 35mm film camera equivalent zooming range of 35-210mm. Fujifilm says the autofocus system has been considerably improved. The new third-generation 3.1 (native) SuperCCD chip used provides an extended ISO range and better low light performance. Continuous shooting can be exploited at up to 5 frames per second. Mimicking the Olympus E-10/E-20, now both SmartMedia and Compact Flash (including Type II and Microdrive cards) are supported. New features include: New 3rd Generation Super CCD sensor and advanced LSI algorithm (3.1 million effective pixels) producing 6.03 million recorded pixels (2,832 x 2,128) High ISO values (up to 1600)* New high-resolution electronic viewfinder with dioptre adjustment Fastest autofocus in class Dual media slots for SmartMedia and Compactflash type II (IBM Microdrive compatible) New 1cm Super Macro setting Higher quality VGA movie capture at 30 frames per second with sound New design two-tone magnesium alloy body for better handling and easier access to controls High-speed shooting at up to 5 frames per second Multi, spot and average metering patterns Powerful built-in flash New easy-to-use Graphical User Interface *800 and 1600 ISO at 1280x960 resolution only The FinePix S602 Zoom should ship in June and is expected to have a list price of under £800 inc.VAT We’re keen to hear what you think of the S602 - click here to tell us. | |||
