5-in one memory card reader

We’ve been contacted by an international memory card and accessories supplier called Card-Media Memory Solutions. They have a new product for anyone who wants to hedge their bets regarding memory card formats.

Their USB-connected 5-in-1 reader has three slots that can accommodate Compact Flash Type I/II cards, IBM Microdrives, Multimedia cards (MMC), Secure Digital cards (SD) and SmartMedia cards up top 128MB. The only major card platform missing is Sony’s Memory Stick, but you could use an adapter for the CF slot. The 5-in-1 is priced £49 inc.VAT.

Image Tank multimedia upgrade

Card-Media also sell the Image Tank portable hard drive memory card reader we discovered a few weeks ago (click here). We’re told that a multimedia accessory for the Image Tank is due in the new year. It will enable you to view the contents of the drive using a TV or computer screen and will be controlled using a remote control unit.
