Get snapping at the Woburn Estate
Woburn Estate, home to Woburn Safari Park, Abbey and golf club, has launched an amateur photography competition in association with the MK Citizen, asking visitors to the Estate to submit their photography, capturing the essence of this magical and diverse location.
Whether you love photographing wildlife or historic houses, have celebrated your wedding at Woburn, visited the Inn or regularly enjoy playing at our golf club, Woburn Estate wants to see your photographic entries.
This competition gives all keen amateur photographers of all ages the opportunity to use their skills to produce fantastic photography and win great prizes at the same time.
Entrants are invited to submit photographs taken within the permitted public areas of the Woburn Estate.
- Woburn Abbey (including the Gardens, Deer Park and Sculpture Gallery)
- Woburn Safari Park (including Go Ape)
- Woburn golf club
- The Inn at Woburn
There will be three prize-winning categories for adults, children aged 10 and under, and juniors aged 11-17. The overall winner will win a fantastic Ultimate Woburn Weekend.
A panel of three judges, including the Duchess of Bedford, will pick the winner and runners-up for the following categories:
- Best overall Photograph across all ages – Winner to receive an 'Ultimate Woburn Weekend' (Dinner bed and breakfast for two people at the Inn at Woburn, a shared Golf Lesson at Woburn golf club, a VIP Off Road Safari Tour of Woburn Safari Park, plus a Private Tour of Woburn Abbey and Gardens)
- Best Adult Entry (18 and above): Winner to receive a VIP Off Road Safari Tour for up to four people. Runner-up to receive an Animal Adoption (including entry to Woburn Safari Park)
- Best Children's Entry (aged up to 10): Winner to receive a VIP Off Road Safari Tour for up to four people. Runner-up to receive an Animal Adoption (including entry to Woburn Safari Park)
- Best Junior Entry (aged 11-17): Winner to receive a VIP Off Road Safari Tour for up to four people. Runner-up to receive an Animal Adoption including entry to Woburn Safari Park.
The beauty of this competition is there are no restrictions on the format or the style of photography. Entries can also be submitted at any time throughout the year. At the very latest they must have been received by the 16th December 2011. Each entry should be marked with name, address, contact telephone number (both daytime and evening), your date of birth, where and when the photograph was taken.
