Image samples from a pre-production Sony Alpha NEX-5 for you to download

UPDATE: Five more sample images (43-47) have been added, taken on Wednesday morning in brighter conditions, although using Program mode, so the camera set rather small aperture settings.

Unfortunately, the weather was overcast during our main spell with the camera here in Croatia. Most of the samples taken below were shot on the historic island of Hvar, which is around a 40 minute boat ride from Split. Both the 18-55 standard zoom and the 16mm pancake were used, and most of the time aperture priority auto mode was used. Image Stabilisation was used with the 18-55 kit lens. We have also included some very high ISO shots. We also have a few more samples that we will add later, taken under sunnier conditions. Look out for the wide profile shots that were made using the Sweep Panorama function. All are Fine (best quality mode) JPEG files. We did record RAW images as well but these will be added to the gallery selection later.
