Everything for the home office: Canon introduces two affordable Office All-In-Ones
United Kingdom / Republic of Ireland, 18th February 2009: Canon today announces two new PIXMA inkjet All-In-One models, designed for home office users. Featuring distinctive, contemporary designs, the PIXMA MX320 and PIXMA MX330 – which replace the PIXMA MX300 and PIXMA MX310 respectively – include versatile print, copy, scan, fax and ADF functionality, at price points ideal for first-time buyers and price-conscious consumers. In addition to the extensive feature set offered by the PIXMA MX320, the PIXMA MX330 boasts a 4.5cm (1.8”) TFT display and several extra copier functions.
Fast, detailed and accurate
Both models can be used for a range of scanning and copying applications. A maximum scan resolution of 1200dpi equips the PIXMA MX320 and PIXMA MX330 for detailed photo scanning to create enlargements. Alternatively, batch document scanning and copying is facilitated by a 30-sheet Auto Document Feeder (ADF).
Canon’s advanced copy technology ensures faithful reproduction, including precision colour matching. For multi-page documents, collated copying, 2-on-1 and 4-on-1 copying can be selected saving paper and time. Users can also create a portable, digital version of a document or photo in seconds, by scanning directly to a USB key.
Refined Product Design
The PIXMA MX320 and PIXMA MX330 feature sophisticated new product designs. The ADF and control panel have evolved into the top cover as a fully-integrated unit – providing simple, easy access to all functions all the time.
Super G3 fax
Both models include high-speed Super G3 fax capabilities. Used either as a standalone fax or with a PC, they are capable of transmitting mono or colour documents at a data rate of 33.6kbps. Used in conjunction with the ADF, multiple page faxes can be sent with ease.
Users can also save up to twenty fax numbers for coded speed dialing, send to multiple recipients with sequential broadcasting, and take advantage of several improved security features. If paper runs out, an internal fax memory stores up to 50 pages of incoming messages.
Superb photo prints and documents in seconds
Both documents and photos benefit from Canon’s FINE Cartridge technology, which uses one black pigment ink cartridge for superior text printing, and one CMY dye-based colour ink cartridge to deliver glossy, photolab quality prints and outstanding colour graphics.
Simultaneous speed and image quality are the hallmarks of the FINE system. A lab-quality 10x15cm borderless photo can be printed in just 45 seconds, while default document printing speeds based on ISO/IEC 24734 ESAT are 7.5 ipm (mono) and 4.5 ipm (colour). Canon’s 4-colour ink system offers print resolution of up to 4800x1200dpi, while ink droplets as small as 2pl ensure vibrant prints, free from visible grain. Prints are protected from the common causes of fading by Canon’s ChromaLife100+ system, giving long lasting beautiful photos lasting over 300 years. See Technologies Explained.
Easy to use
Standalone use with the PIXMA MX320 is facilitated by an easy-to-read, full dot matrix LCD. For more options in standalone jobs like copying, the PIXMA MX330 includes a 4.5cm (1.8”) TFT display. On both models, digital cameras can be easily connected directly via the front PictBridge port.
Both models include Canon’s MP Navigator EX software to manage scanned images and documents, with simple conversion to PDF, including page re-ordering, PDF password security, word search function and over 15 language OCR.
Also included is Canon’s Easy-PhotoPrint EX software, which allows users to easily print great looking photos with functions like automatic red-eye correction and Auto Photo Fix.
“Home office users are more likely than ever to have photo printing demands,” said Rainer Fuehres, Head of Canon Consumer Imaging Europe. “No other All-In-Ones offer such a great-value combination of office functionality and image quality.”
