Issued by Peter iNova:
New Photoshop Actions for Nikon and Sony eBooks
Two new packages of iNovaFX Photoshop Actions have been released for the Nikon and Sony eBooks from Peter iNova. Better yet: they're free to current eBook owners and can be downloaded from the Web.
The two packages, iLiners and iRustica, create new photographic effects for digital photographers. The iLiners series are eight effects based on five original artistic interpretations. The recent popularity of the "Hayes Island Effect" prompted author iNova into creating new, complex graphic interpretations from digital photographs, each with a striking combination of delineation, color interpretation and texture.
"The Hayes effect is quite nice," said iNova, "but it is hardly the end of the story. Here are several very different ways to convert images into artwork, each with a different sort of artistic vision."
The iRustica Photoshop Actions were inspired by the treated images of Linda Butler in her photography book, ITALY In the Shadow of Time.

"Linda's images are characterized by a subtle warm treatment added to her monochromatic images of extraordinary compositions." said iNova, "I was so taken with the almost neo-antique effect, that I had to see if I could recreate a similar effect digitally. With these Photoshop Actions, others can experiment and print versions of the treatments."
There are three iRustica basic effects and eight iLiner effects in the two packages. Each package has an iNovaFX "Carnet" variation that takes a single image and generates all the possible variations, naming each one as snapshots in Photoshop's History Palette. With this technique, the photographer can see what her image looks like when treated many different ways, for quick comparison and fast experience-building.
Current eBook owners can download their copies from the DigitalSecrets.Net website using a password from the eBook. Both Nikon and Sony eBooks shipped since April 1 include the two new packages on the CD.
