ColorVision’s LCD Spyder now replaces all CRT Spyder monitor calibrators New lower price from £175

Birmingham, UK, April 17, 2003, - TypeMaker Ltd., colour management specialists, software developers and UK distributor of ColorVision colour management products has announced that ColorVision’s CRT Pantone Spyder monitor calibrator range has now been replaced with a dual LCD & CRT range.

As a result, the price of ColorVision’s dual LCD & CRT Pantone Spyder monitor calibrator has been reduced to £175 with PhotoCAL software and £250 with OptiCAL software.

“ColorVision has decided that the combination of LCD & CRT versions makes the product more future-proof as the market is increasingly moving towards LCD screen technology,” said Geoffrey Clements, managing director, TypeMaker. “Customers will benefit from improved technology at a lower price!”

Product details
The ColorVision Spyder will calibrate and profile both CRT and, with the included counter balance and filter, LCD displays as part of a colour managed workflow.

The Spyder, a USB device will work under Mac OS 9 and OSX, Windows 98, 2000 and XP. The user has the choice of PhotoCAL software or the more advanced OptiCAL for additional control.
