Based in Wakefield, Yorkshire, Stephen has been one of DPNow's most fervent supporters. His enthusiasm and commitment to the site was recognised very early on and he eagerly took on his role as the first independent DPNow forum moderator.

After training and working as a teacher on the 'Front Line' for some 20 years, he left the profession in 1991 to go full time as a self-employed photographer, and he continues to this day.

Stephen's photography experience has ranged from working for major national magazines/publishers providing content and editorial photographs, to press/pr work and general commercial photography. He has had a good deal of experience working for holiday companies supplying photography for their brochures. General PR, industrial, location and studio work have all been his stock-in trade. Stephen says his work is varied and many clients annually request his services, especially in the Exhibition and Conference industry.

"At present I use a Canon 1DMkIIN with Canon L series lenses. My personal photography tends to be landscape work though I enjoy people and street photography. I try as far as I can, to be an image-maker rather than a picture-taker," explains Stephen.
