LINDY launches a NAS Box that does so much more than data storage
Stockton-on-Tees, UK (4th January 2007) – LINDY Electronics announced today the launch of its NAS Personal Server Premium Box that will provide small businesses, SOHO and home users with a powerful Gigabit enabled network data storage and file sharing solution together with a file server, web server, ftp server and more.
The LINDY NAS Personal Server makes it easy for LAN users to share files and folders and back up data using the embedded SAMBA file server. With built in web and FTP servers, the device is perfect for creating a web or intranet site, while a printer server makes it simple to share a printer via a built in USB 2.0 port. Configuration of the device is also easily accomplished via a browser based user interface.
Compatible with Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP, the Server Box supports all standard IDE/ATA 133 3.5” hard drive units up to a maximum capacity of 400GB. It is equipped with two USB 2.0 ports that enable the connection of a printer and additional USB storage devices such as pen drives or portable hard drives. Network connection is provided via a 10/100/1000 Gigabit port.
