Release Issued by Lindy:
Latest Webcam includes video, audio and lighting, all through a single connection
Stockton-on-Tees, UK (14th December 2006) – Whether it’s used for instant messaging, chatting to friends and family across the globe or just to check that the dog is behaving itself when no one is at home, the new LINDY USB MiniCam Pro, with its built in microphone, flexible neck design and LED illumination is one of the neatest webcams available.
Available either as standalone or integrated into its own desk stand, the LINDY USB MiniCam Pro has a high sensitivity 350k pixel CMOS sensor to ensure, consistently smooth clear images and an adjustable glass lens which can focus on items as close as 3cm. The webcam can be used to capture still pictures, video and audio and is ideal for using with NetMeeting or other similar video conferencing software.
To help improve the image quality in low light conditions, the MiniCam Pro features both infra red and white LEDs to illuminate the subject, even in complete darkness. A flexible neck allows it to be moved into almost any position to take snapshots and capture video with audio at speeds of up to 30fps.
“Webcams are great, but lighting is always a problem particularly when you find yourself trying to position a desk lamp so that the subject matter can be seen easily,” comments Stephen Fawcett, Senior Product Manager of LINDY Electronics. “With the MiniCam Pro all this is a thing of the past as it has everything you need – video, audio and lighting included in its compact design; not only that there is only one cable to plug into your computer.”
The LINDY USB MiniCam Pro (part no 42804) and USB MiniCam Pro with Desk Stand (part no 42803) are available now from www.lindy.co.uk. Both have an RRP of £21.99
