Get snap happy with Esther Rantzen and Vitalise

Budding photographers are being encouraged to enter their best pictures for a brand new competition being run by leading national disability charity, Vitalise (formerly Winged Fellowship Trust). The theme is 'Generations', and the photos may incorporate the themes of disability and caring, although this is not compulsory.
The winning images will take pride of place at a prestigious photographic exhibition, to be held at The Music Room, one of Mayfair's most fashionable galleries, on 9th May 2006. Heading up the judging panel will be TV presenter and broadcaster, Esther Rantzen, who will lead the judges in selecting the winning images. Winners will receive valuable photography-related prizes.
Vitalise has also contacted hundreds of celebrities for photographs of themselves as children and these will be shown at the 'Generations' exhibition and auctioned off by a Sotheby's auctioneer during the evening.
Esther Rantzen said: "Some of my own happiest memories have been of the holidays I spent with my family. However, for many disabled people and their carers, their only chance to get away all year is when they go on a break with Vitalise.
"I would urge everyone to consider entering the Generations photographic competition for the chance to win some great prizes for themselves and to help raise vital funds to ensure even more disabled people can benefit from the services of this great charity."

Vitalise was established in 1963 to provide vital breaks for disabled people and their carers. The charity has five fully-accessible centres in Cornwall, Nottingham, Merseyside, Essex and Southampton, offering disabled adults and their carers a choice of subsidised short breaks, with 24-hour personal support and care-on-call. The centre in Cornwall also caters for children with physical or learning disabilities.
Vitalise also offers a range of activity breaks for visually impaired people, and inspirational opportunities for over 5,000 volunteers who help at Vitalise centres each year.
