VFZ compression for Mac arrives

At the launch of VFZoom back in June, the assembled Apple Mac press were left incredulous that such an interesting digital photo tool was not launched in a Mac compatible format.

Now, however, VFZoom, which is a very clever photo image compression systems, is available for Mac users.

VFZoom version 2.2 lets the user scale an image, compress it, archive, view, convert, manage and track images securely. Images can be viewed from 5 percent their original size to 1200 percent with, according to publisher VFZ, no loss of quality. That claim may seem fantastic, but the evidence we have seen to date is very impressive.

VFZoom is already available in Windows versions and the Japanese company that owns the technology hopes to establish VFZoom as a camera alternative to JPEG and JPEG 2000.
