Canon’s new room with a View

15th June - 2001

Celebrating its 25th anniversary in the UK, Canon UK Ltd today formally opened its new London showroom, located just a stone's throw from London's Hatton Garden jewellery quarter on the edge of the City of London.

The £4 million, 442 sq m, 7th floor facility, which overlooks the City, is called, aptly, The View. It showcases Canon's product range from networked copiers and laser printers to cameras and photo printers.

The View replaces Canon's old showroom, which was located at Piccadilly. The new showroom is more focused on Canon's aspirations summarised in its new corporate slogan; "Imaging Across Networks." It's less accessible to the public than the Piccadilly site, but better suited and situated for business clientele.

Present at the opening ceremony were Lars Erik Kennbert, Canon UK's managing director and also celebrating his 30th year with Canon on this very day, Michael Malone, chief photographer of the Mirror Group newspapers and Mr.Deputy Michael Farrow for the Ward of Farringdon, in which The View is situated.
