The following are extracts from recent Editorial Features
We have just been included in a six page article in the February edition of Professional Photographer. In this article "Modem Marketing" one of our clients who was interviewed was quoted as saying:

Sam Franks is an art director commissioning pictures for IDFX and FMX magazines, and has found Photohall.com to be a useful source. "One of the best things about David is that he knows loads of photographers all around the country," she says. "While we've got a comprehensive list of photographers on our books, it can be tricky if there's a need for a photographer to cover a job in Glasgow at short notice, and we won't be able, perhaps, to get up there ourselves. In those circumstances David will know who would be right for that particular job.

"The photohall.com site itself I find really valuable because it's in front of you immediately and you can use it to access websites and to talk to photographers directly."

The article continues-

Logging on to the Photohall.com site gives potential clients free access to individual websites containing portfolios of up to 24 images from all the registered photographers, plus contact details, including personal websites and email addresses that the photographers may have set up. If a client contacts Dave Hall asking for a specific recommendation, he will give them three names based on the style of photography that's required. "I don't recommend on price," he says. "Nowadays photographers tend to be seen almost as plumbers, and they compete with each other on the cost of the job. The people that I have on my site are all specialists in their own fields, and I put forward the ones who will be best suited to the requirements of the job."

There are other benefits for those who are registered with the site, such as assistant contact details - there are currently 180 assistants registered with the site. There's also an area where PDFs for forms such as delivery notes, invoices, estimates, licence to use and terms and conditions can be downloaded, and a facility for buying and selling kit. Hall has also recently compiled a comprehensive database containing the details of potential clients, such as ad agencies, design agencies, magazine and book publishers. Those who are registered with photohall can access this free.

We have also had a review in Image magazine which is the run by The Association of Photographers.
