7.2 Megapixel Sony Cyber-shot P150 sets New Threshold For Quality Compact Cameras

Sony breaks the resolution barrier with its first 7.2 Megapixel compact camera, equipped with a stunning Carl Zeiss Varrio-Tessar zoom lens and encased in a stylish aluminium body.

Shoot To Thrill
How can something so compact be so powerful? Elegant enough for the most fashion-conscious snapper, the tiny Cyber-shot P150 can capture high resolution, 7.2 effective Megapixel images and features a pop-up 3X optical zoom lens by world-renowned lens manufacturer Carl Zeiss. With the Cyber-shot P150 you can forget about battery concerns, as the latest stamina technology means that you can shoot up to 320 high quality images* on one charge. And the enhancements don't stop there.

Superior Operation

With this driving the action behind the scenes you can be sure that your colours will turn out richer, your images will be clearer and you’ll achieve better picture quality all round. It also makes the best use of the battery, boosting performance by an incredible 90 percent over previous models. What’s more, the Sony Real Imaging Processor also significantly speeds up the camera operation, so you’re much less likely to miss the action.

Efficient Design
ATT00009.jpgAlthough it fits into the palm of your hand, the Cyber-shot P150 offers a sizeable 1.8-inch LCD, set flush into the aluminium body for efficient use of space. Such attention to detail is mirrored in the internal design of the camera, which features precision engineering and a highly compact optical path. Sony has provided extra connectivity for the Cyber-shot P150 with an optional powered cradle, the Cyber-shot station. This allows you to dock the camera and connect to a PC, printer or AV device, using a remote control to view your images on TV, while the camera battery charges simultaneously. The camera also offers all the onboard connectivity you’ll need for everyday operation, including USB 2.0 and the enhanced PictBridge facility for printing your photos directly to a compatible printer without the need for a PC.

Shoot anywhere
Forget about worrying if the light is right; just choose one of nine Scene Selection modes to produce a perfect picture in any conditions. The camera is fully automatic of course, but if you want to get a bit more creative there’s also a simple manual exposure mode. And it’s not just pictures. The Cyber-shot P150 can also record MPEG movies that can be played back full screen on a TV with sound. Truly a multi-talented camera!
