andym is one of our newest DPNow forum recruits and knowing his reputation on other sites is a talent we are likely to see a lot of in future Pictures of the Day. The shot we are featuring today is from one of Andy's favourite places, Pett Level, in Easy Sussex. This place was discussed on the forum not long ago. To be honest this is a shot that I'm sure Andy would agree is not technically difficult but that doesn't take anything away from the result. The foreground is close and through the use of a small lens aperture the distant sky is also in sharp focus. This shot is all about perspective and the divide that separates the watery shoreline and the wispy clouds against a blue sky that point towards the horizon. This is a simple scene but very satisfying - you feel like you want to be there.
