Released by H&M System Software:
StudioLine Photo 2.1 Available Now!
Free update provides new functionality and improved usability
Rödermark, 6th May 2004 - H&M System Software GmbH has announced the latest update to StudioLine Photo, version 2.1, which is immediately available for download at www.StudioLine.net. This update includes new functions for image management, editing and print, RAW format support, additional web-gallery layouts and improved database performance. The update is free of charge for registered users of StudioLine Photo 2.
The full version of StudioLine Photo is available at the online store at www.StudioLine.net for EUR44 (£32). A 30-day demo version, for evaluation purposes, can also be downloaded at the same address.
Image Management
The overall efficiency and usability of StudioLine Photo has been improved, with an enhanced user interface and the addition of new features. With version 2.1, once images have been captioned they can now be arranged in ascending or descending order. For example, sorting by descending date order places the most recent photos at the top. Images can also be sorted by hand, like a light box, and the manual sort order can be saved for re-use at a later date.
A convenient new way of captioning images organises EXIF information, IPTC properties, as well as system and user sort criteria in a tree structure.
The user can now quickly combine relevant caption fields from the various categories, making captioning and categorising images faster and more efficient.
With StudioLine Photo 2.1's enhanced export capabilities, the user can apply a whole host of useful predefined settings - such as file format, size and quality - at the click of a mouse.
Enhanced import capabilities recognise images that have already been input, allowing the user to avoid downloading the same image from the camera twice.
In addition, the list of CD/DVD recorders supported by StudioLine Photo has been expanded significantly.
Image Editing
With the new split-screen preview, the user can immediately see the before-and-after effect of image tools, filters and effects.
A new "Pet-Eye" filter is included, ideal for animal lovers who can now correct their pets' discolored pupils with a single mouse click.
The new "RGB Mixer" enables sophisticated colour correction, attractive special effects and the creation of professional quality black-and-white images.
StudioLine Photo 2.1 automatically rotates photos right-side up, in line with information provided by cameras with an orientation sensor.
Improved Printing Functions
For quick and easy printing, the "Standard Print" feature comes with a long list of predefined page layouts - including a contact sheet which allows you to print up to 50 images on a single page.
Support for RAW Format
StudioLine Photo 2.1 imports RAW format images from popular high-end cameras.
New Web Gallery Layouts
New design layouts make it possible for even the most inexperienced user to publish impressive-looking albums on the Internet. A preview menu provides access to theme-based layouts for weddings, births, parties and other special events, with new designs being added frequently.
With the latest update, StudioLine Photo 2.1 consolidates its reputation as the complete hassle-free solution for digital imaging. Beginners and professionals alike will benefit from this comprehensive and easy-to-use product for image archiving, management and editing, suitable for even the most extensive image collections.
