Rollei announces Rollei Sportsline 50

Rollei Sportsline 50: Let’s get wet!

The sea, the swimming pool or paddling pool in the back garden – scenes in or around water offer countless snapshot opportunities during summer months. And Rollei’s new underwater digicam, the Sportsline 50, is perfect for capturing such moments. Bright, rich colours, as well as the attractive price of 49.95 euros (RRP) make this camera, which is waterproof up to a depth of 3 metres, the perfect companion for amateur photographers.

Thanks to the robust case and ease of use, you can let children use the 5-megapixel camera without having to worry. Sandcastles, or the first attempts at swimming, can be perfectly captured with the precision lens and a choice of seven different motif programmes. Thanks to the 8x digital zoom, you can also zoom in on fish at a distance when you are snorkelling and immediately look at them on the 2.4-inch colour TFT-LCD display. You can also record a video of your snorkelling adventures, as the Rollei Sportsline 50 can record underwater videos with up to 30 pictures per second in VGA mode.

Ideal when on the go: at a mere 98 g, the underwater camera is a real lightweight (without batteries and SD card). It is powered using two standard alkaline batteries, which can be purchased anywhere.

The Sportsline 50 will be available at the end of May 2010 in the colours orange, yellow, blue and green for 49.95 euros (RRP).
