Lexmark Z705

Two weeks ago Lexmark announced two new photo ink-jet printers, a pledge to reduce ink photo costs and unveiled its own-brand photo papers for the European market. The company also announced two new general purpose ink-jet printers and three new all-in-ones. Confirmed prices of the new printers, papers and photo cartridge are as follows (all prices include VAT):

Z605 £49
Z705 £59
P706 £69
P707 £79

20 sheets Lexmark Everyday Glossy Photo Paper – £5.99
15 sheets Lexmark Premium Glossy Photo Paper - £7.99

The 12A1990 photo colour cartridge, which used to be around £30 has now been reduced to £17.45, a reduction of 42%.

Those are very eye-catching prices. The question is, how good are the products? We'll be at the head of the queue to find out!

Lexmark showed some limited edition all-in-ones in the livery of the Swiss Army pen-knife company, Victorinox. The link? The original all-in-one...

All-in-one (printer/scanner/copier and even fax functions) pricing is just as aggressive. The new X1150 all-in-one will be available at the end of May with a price tag of £79. Pricing on X6150 and X6170 is to be confirmed.
