Danny Chau was born in Hong Kong, came over with his family to the UK as a child, and is now back in Hong King and enjoying life there immensely. Danny has probably had more cameras than you've had hot dinners and this picture was taken using a Leica M8. It's a scene in central Hong Kong, and I love the honesty of the situation, which is helped by the perspective of the street and even the crows barriers add some form to the perspective. Danny has also done a great job in the post processing to give the image a certain earthy feel.

We are always on the look out for great pictures posted to the user-galleries here on DPNow. POTDs are selected from the gallery and featured every week day. The gallery facility here is completely free; all you need to do is register as a user on our discussion forum and you will get an automatic 25MB of space, which is good for around 125 pictures uploaded at web resolution, about 200K per picture. At the time of writing we had almost 16,000 pictures on the galleries and it's well worth a browse.
