The Outdoors Show 2010
The event of the year for those with a spirit of adventure
The Outdoors Show returns from 26th-28th March 2010 bringing the best of the outdoors indoors. The annual event will once again turn Birmingham’s NEC into the ultimate adventure seeker’s playground, delivering a unique experience not available on the high street or the hills, for people with a passion for hiking and biking, walking and climbing and much, much more…
The World’s Greatest Living Explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE, returns to the show after completing his gruelling climb to the summit of Mount Everest to share his experiences as a guest speaker. Also appearing will be two-time Olympic Rowing Gold Medallist James Cracknell, Britain’s top female climber Lucy Creamer, TV Presenters Simon King and Kate Humble and adventurer Ben Fogle.
New for 2010 is the exciting introduction of TriLive, the only UK triathlon show north of London. The area will play host to exhibitors and experts from the sport and provides the perfect opportunity for visitors to learn how to get involved in the demanding and rewarding world of triathlon.
Back by popular demand is the spectacular SkyMasters competition showcasing elite climbers as they race head-to-head on a floating overhanging course set in the rafters of the NEC. The Ice Climbing wall returns providing a tough and challenging opportunity for visitors to prove they have the strength to tackle one of nature’s most difficult ascents and for those with a real head for heights, the Outdoors Show has also introduced the Big Air Abseiling attraction, offering thrill-seekers the chance to test their own nerves as they go over the edge!
With climbing walls galore, hundreds of outdoors exhibitors, fashion shows, the new TriLive Duathlon to watch or take part-in and a wilderness camp, this year’s Outdoors Show is the must-attend event of the year for those with a spirit for adventure.
