ACDSee Pro Photo Manager 3, from Canadian software company ACD Systems, has only been available for a few weeks. It is the latest updated version of the established ACDSee range of solutions for both managing your photos, video and other content, as well as editing and sharing them. The ‘Pro’ tag denotes the most highly featured edition of ACDSee Photo Manager. Apart from its powerful database facility for meaningfully cataloguing your pictures and video clips, ACDSee Pro 3 is fully equipped for editing camera RAW images, and non-destructively too.
ACDSee Pro 3 is also Internet-Connected, so you can upload your photos to photo sharing sites like flickr, SmugMug, and Zenfolio.
Existing users of earlier version of ACDSee will notice a revised user interface with Pro 3, the aim being to make workflow work more logically and quickly. The application is now presented in four modes: Manage, View, Process, and Online. The Process mode is of particular interest as it has been designed to enable you to instantly compare changes with your originals. Vibrance control is now featured, alongside a new advanced colour tool set, noise reduction and improved edit selection options.
