Thinking of Minnie?, by Jay

Jay, or jds9000 as he's known by on the DPNow forum and galleries, has earned a Picture of the Day with this dreamy portrait of his grand daughter, Jade. The selective blurring he has applied works well here. Jade's expression is very curious. Once again, the picture makes one think - just what is she thinking? Maybe Jay has some clue:
"It was taken in Disneyland Paris in 2005 at my grand daughter, Jade's, 6th birthday party. We took the whole family over for the four days, and had her birthday party there with all the characters and she was a bit gobsmacked by it all ....."
Hence, Jay's title of 'Thinking of Minnie?' - Minnie Mouse, of course. With my critique hat on, the rule of thirds space would be better applied to the right, the direction of Jade's gaze, but even that doesn't take away the fact that Jay has produced a very memorable picture of his grand daughter to cherish.

We are always on the look out for great pictures posted to the user-galleries here on DPNow. POTDs are selected from the gallery and featured every week day.
