Reflective spheres, by David Taylor

David Taylor goes by the nickname of Tazzat on the DPNow forum. A horticulturalist, David's gallery features some obligatory flowers, plus some nature macro shots and some interesting cloudscapes. So today's featured picture of some chrome balls on sticks was a bit of a departure from the norm in David's gallery. It's a simple but effective composition, too. As with all good images, it makes you think and wonder.
David says: "The camera used was the first of my two Sigma SD14 DSLRs. The lens used was a Sigma 50mm Macro lens. It was taken on a day off in the garden centre of a well known DIY store, where I work part-time as a Horticultural Advisor." So it seems the spheres are actually nothing more than garden ornaments, and yet David has made them more than that in this picture.
Photography has been a long term interest for David: "My interest in photography started whilst serving in the RAF at RAF Sharjah, Trucial States, Arabian Gulf during 1966. My interest now is mainly Natural History photography, currently using focus stacking with Helicon Focus."
