WACOM Europe GmbH, today announces a limited edition hardware and software bundle, ideal for optimising digital images. From now until 20 March 2004, Wacom¹s Intuos2 Platinum Edition A5 and A4 regular will be bundled with Dfine software by nik multimeda image correcting software, a 27% discount voucher for a Wacom Intuos2 Airbrush or Stroke Pen (midnite version) and a ŒStep-by-step guided tour¹ CD with examples for optimising the combination of Inutos2 and Photoshop.

The bundle is ideal for Adobe Photoshop users, professional digital photographers and advanced amateur photographers, who would like to achieve the best possible results when professionally editing digital images.

The combination of the Intuos2 Platinum pen tablet and Dfine software allows the user to apply filters to a selected area of an image, reduce typical imperfections such as picture Œnoise¹, improve the balance of image detail, adjust colour and light quickly and easily, precisely remove unwanted objects and enhance creative possibilities using filter layers.

Dfine includes the modul Dfine Selective, which allows users to reduce noise in a photo with different pressure levels and to optimise details very precisely with the pen. A variety of detail-specific brushes are available. All Dfine settings, including various additional camera profiles, can be applied with these brushes that support the 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity offered by Wacom¹s Intuos2 pens and airbrush.

With exactly the same technical specifications as the award-winning Intuos2 graphics tablet system, the Platinum Edition is ideal for digital photography, video-editing and 2D/3D design, as well as other creative mediums. It is aimed at those style-conscious digital design professionals that want an aesthetic working environment. The Platinum Edition complements the modern design of Apple¹s G5 and Titanium PowerBook and many PCs on the market today.

The input devices supplied with the Intuos2 Platinum Edition, such as the Grip Pen and 2D mouse for the A5 and the Grip Pen and 4D Mouse for the A4 regular, also come in platinum to match the contemporary look of the tablet. All existing input devices are also compatible with the Intuos2 Platinum Edition.

Pricing
The Intuos2 Platinum Edition A5 bundle costs £255.99 and the A4 regular bundle costs £389.99. Both prices are excluding VAT.

System requirements
The Intuos2 Platinum Edition comes with a USB connection and works with Windows 98/ME/200, Windows XP, Macintosh 8.51 and later and Macintosh OS 10.1.5 and later. Wacom offers a two-year guarantee for the Intuos2 Platinum Edition and input devices.
