Release Issued by Epson:

Epson Enables Colourmaster to Reproduce Quality Botanical Photographic Images

19th September 2007 - ColourMaster Images, the Leicestershire-based photography printing specialist, has used a combination of Epson Stylus Pro printers with Epson UltraChrome Ink to produce an exciting range of photographic prints and Giclée canvas wraps by renowned botanical photographer Clive Nichols.

Supplied by Fujifilm, the Epson printers are driven by an ImageHunter RIP.
Representing advancements in ink, print head and printer engine design, the Epson Stylus Pro Series incorporates excellent technologies for fine art and photography printing professionals.

Clive, who has won numerous awards for his work including 'Garden Photographer of the Year 2005' and 'The Royal Horticultural Society Garden Photographer of the Year', said, "I have been wanting, for some time, to offer my images to the public as limited edition fine art prints but it was important to me to work with people who respect my work and really appreciate and understand colour, which is the prime motivation in my photography. ColourMaster do just that and create fantastic printed art with exemplary customer service."

ColourMaster Images, formed in 2004 by David Leedham and Georgina Boulter, is fast building a well-earned reputation with professional photographers; both for the quality of its products and its personal dedicated service. The firm is delighted to add Clive Nichols name to the list of photographers with whom it already works, as David says, "Clive's stunning images, especially the macros of perfectly formed flowers which are almost abstract, look incredible as large prints and wonderfully illustrate and emphasise the intricate, delicate inner parts of the flower."

Using quality fine art materials, the company strives to combine digital printing technology and colour expertise with traditional principles such as exemplary customer service, attention to detail and craftsmanship, with each canvas print being varnished by hand.

Taking full advantage of Epson UltraChrome Ink technology, the Stylus Pro range incorporates the Micro Piezo DX3 print head able to produce an impressive resolution of 2,800 x 1,440 dpi. Both the 44-inch and 17-inch Stylus Pro wide format printers combine consistent colour quality with speed, flexibility and ease of use. The smaller printer provides large format performance in a convenient desktop size.

"The Epson Stylus Pro printers offer consistent performance and excellent colour quality to the photographic printer. We are pleased to enable innovative companies like ColourMaster to produce prints by some of the worlds leading photographers such as Clive Nichols", says Martin Johns, Senior Product Manager, Epson UK.

ColourMaster prints Clive Nichols images on Hahnemühle Photo Rag - bright white 310gsm and a 340gsm 100% cotton canvas. The latter they finish, by hand, with two coats of liquid laminate.

Clive's pictures are arranged in beautifully themed galleries of vibrant colours and subtle tones and include a whole range of macro botanical portraits, digital flower photography, artistic fine art photographs of flowers or whole garden scenes, including many images from Clive's latest book 'The Art of Flower and Garden Photography'.

Prices start at £65, rising to £295 for a large canvas of 24" x 36". Through its online facility, ColourMaster sell high impact photos around the world to interior designers and lovers of flowers and art.
