Don't miss this chance to win a compact and chic HP R727 digital camera.
1st November 2006: October's prize draw has now closed and the winner will be informed shortly. Watch out for November's competition for a very desirable Samsung NV10 - details will be published later today!
This month's competition is open to DPNow visitors regardless of which country they reside in. All you need to do is subscribe to the Digital Photography Now Extra! newsletter, sponsored this month by DxO Optics Pro 4. Entry is open to existing and new subscribers - it's easy!
This month we have a HP Photosmart R727 for you to win. The R727 is not just compact, it stays compact even when it's in use. Unlike many digital cameras, its 3x optical zoom lens remains inside the camera body at all times. This means there is no chance of a telescoping external lens, which conventional cameras use, being damaged once it has extended and is ready for use.
The R727's compact dimensions contain a great deal of sophistication, including a class-leading intuitive menu system and advanced image enhancement technologies like smart automatic red-eye correction and Adaptive Lighting that makes the most of shadow details without bleaching out the sky or other highlights. You also get the ultimate in easy panorama stitching in-camera and analysis of picture quality that can prompt advice on how to improve the shot.
An aluminium case clothes the R727 and at the back there is a large 2.5 inch colour LCD screen with a wide 170 degree viewing angle.
Like other HP Photosmart cameras, the R727 is compatible with HP's range of Photosmart printers with camera docks for direct printing without a cable, as well as industry standard PictBridge printing via a cable.
