A PDA with a hard drive
It has a 4GB hard drive and a multi-purpose SD memory card slot, but the exciting new Palm LifeDrive is so much more than just a portable photo storage device. It's a full-blown Palm OS PDA, complete with QVGA colour touch screen in a compact 121 x 73 x 19mm, 190g package that can synchronise with your computer, play hours of your favourite music tracks and help organise your life.
Wireless connectivity
Besides USB wired connection, the LifeDrive includes both Bluetooth and 802.11b wireless LAN connectivity, as well as infra red beaming. A built in microphone lets you use your LifeDrive as a digital tape recorder. Power is provided by a rechargeable lithium ion battery. The LifeDrive's SD card slot also accepts SDIO devices, like GPS satellite navigation receivers, mini cameras, etc.
Software solutions
Built in software applications are provided for surfing the Web, handling email and managing multimedia files, with a special application, called Camera Companion, for managing photos. You can even turn stored photos into slide shows.
