New Pentax DSLR to have anti-shake technology?
by Ian Burley

DPNow reader finds German retail site listing new Pentax DSLR

A regular poster on DPNow's discussion forum came up with an interesting discovery today. The German retail site, tekade.de, is advertising sketchy details of the new Pentax DSLR, a prototype of which was shown at PMA two weeks ago. The site says the new camera will have anti-shake technology, presumably related to the moving sensor anti-shake system developed by the late and lamented Konica Minolta.

There has been a lot of speculation that the new Pentax will have some kind of anti-shake solution, however, speculation will remain just that until Pentax officially reveals the specification of its new baby, which we were told at PMA may not wear the 'istD' brand.

The only thing Pentax has confirmed is that the new camera, which looks very similar to models in the the current istD range (and of course the new re-badged Samsung GX range), is that it will boast a ten megapixel sensor.

Tekade.de doesn't quote a price but it does look like it is encouraging people to place pre-orders.
