With a new surface coating, which delivers shining results

Verbatim has introduced its new, printable DVD recordable media. Its DVD-R is now available with 4.7GB and 16x write and read speed, and a dazzling, shiny finish. Once your chosen favourite image has been applied to the disc surface via an inkjet printer, the DVD will be every bit as good as the glossy photos in your family album. Verbatim's DVD-R Glossy Printable is available from this month (March) in a 25-pack spindle and in 10-pack jewel case they are ideal for video and data storage.

A new type of triple coating delivers photo-quality material onto the discs, guaranteeing even more accurate printing results. The coating used for this process absorbs the printer ink in a perfectly balanced ratio, resulting in colours that are depicted in a clear, fresh way - without the risk of smudging.

With this latest addition to its printable range, Verbatim is responding to the increasing demand for glossy printable media. Verbatim launched new printable media in a matt design in November 2005 and also has printable DVD-Rs with a diameter of eight centimetres and a capacity of 1.4GB - ideal for use in camcorders. And once a video has been recorded onto the disc, the surface can be printed with a favourite picture.

All Verbatim media are notable for their excellent recording stability and a long life thanks to the special AZO recording layer, which is exclusive to Verbatim.

Available for delivery through authorized Verbatim resellers, the suggested retail price for Verbatim's new Glossy Printable is £7.99 for a 10-pack jewel case and £14.99 for a 25-pack spindle.
