, have come across some interesting news from Sony which suggests the consumer electronics giant is about to join the ink jet photo printer race. Sony has apparently developed a super-fast, near photo quality, ink-jet printing system called LD Shot. LD stands for 'Lateral Deflection'. Their prototype system reportedly prints A4 photo prints in as little as 6 seconds - ten times faster than the current fastest consumer ink-jet photo printer, the Canon S-900.
