Lite-On It are launching the SHM-165P6S, their first DVD Rewriter to incorporate Super AllWrite(tm).
Super AllWrite(tm) is a new compatibility standard from Lite-On which allows the DVD burner to write to any disc media: DVD+/-(R/RW), DVD-RAM and Double Layer. This fantastic optical drive technology means the end user no longer has to worry about different types of media or drives, and will make purchases and usage hassle free and more accessible for novice computer users.
Media: The SHM-165P6S is an internal 16x DVD Rewriter drive which will write to any disc media format. It includes write speeds of 5x on DVD-RAM, as well as 16x on single layer DVD+/-RW media. Re-writing speed is 8x for DVD+RW and 6x for DVD-RW. What's more it also has the best CD writing performance of any DVD drive on the market, writing to CD-RW media at a speedy 48X.
